Colombo, October 20 (Daily Mirror) - Traffic entering Colombo near D.S. Junction in Borella will be restricted due to emergency repairs to a leaking water pipe, the Police Media Division said.
Excavation work is currently underway on the road from Model Farm Junction towards D.S. Junction, near D.S. Senanayake Mawatha, to repair the damaged water pipe system.
Police have requested motorists travelling towards Colombo via Parliament Road, Castle Street and Model Farm to use alternative routes due to the restrictions on the lane entering Colombo.
Motorists can turn back at Model Farm Junction and proceed along Old Bullers Road towards the cemetery roundabout.
Alternatively, they can enter Kota Road from Ayurveda Junction and proceed via Borella Junction.
Police have urged motorists to follow the alternative routes and cooperate with the traffic arrangements to minimise congestion while repair work is underway.
