Baiba Braže, Latvia's foreign minister, believes NATO's eastern flank is well protected at a time when it is facing heightened tensions. Latvia and its Baltic neighbours are once again on alert amid growing concerns over Russian drones and airspace violations.
Braže said that “NATO’s KPI is peace” and warned that Russia is “enabling the military to challenge NATO”. However, she insisted that Russian President Vladimir Putin “cannot militarily attack” Latvia or the other Baltic states because Russia lacks the necessary capabilities.
