Muscat: Maj. Gen Abdullah Ali Al Harthy, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations, received today Colonel Mosa'ad Ahmed Al Shamroukh from the Ministry of Defence in the State of Kuwait and his accompanying delegation currently visiting the Sultanate of Oman.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed aspects of joint cooperation and discussed means of enhancing the exchange of expertise and experiences in security fields, emergency management and multi-hazard risk reduction.
The delegation visited the National Centre for Emergency Management and several sectors of the National Committee for Emergency Management, during which they were briefed on the working mechanism at the Centre, the integration of roles among various sectors, and advance preparedness to face climate developments, in addition to reviewing the Centre's past experiences during handling exceptional weather conditions over recent years.
