The Goa AI Tech Conclave, which concluded on Friday, will return in October 2027 to further strengthen the state's artificial intelligence ecosystem and foster innovation, officials said.
The efforts came with the Goa government's aims to advance its AI Mission, promote local talent and build an innovation-driven technology ecosystem, they said on Sunday.
The two-day conclave, organised by the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, featured panel discussions, startup pitches, skill development sessions, student workshops and exhibitions showcasing technological innovations and digital solutions.
Announcing the next edition during the valedictory session, DS Prashant, CEO of the Software Technology and Incubation Park of Goa (SITPC), said the event would become an annual fixture on India's technology calendar.
"Goa is ready to lead. Building on the energy we witnessed this year, we are officially announcing the return of the Goa AI Tech Conclave in October 2027," he said.
The second day featured discussions on the use of artificial intelligence for climate resilience and sustainability, and its role in industrial transformation and building next-generation enterprises.
As many as 14 startups from sectors including software-as-a-service (SaaS), health technology, clean technology, tourism technology and AI products pitched their ideas to investors over the two days, receiving feedback from industry representatives, the officials said.
Technology companies and organisations, including Google, Microsoft, Digital India and Bhashini, showcased their innovations and digital solutions at the exhibition zone. Hands-on training sessions and workshops were also organised for students and other participants, they added.
At the inaugural session of the conclave, the Goa government on Thursday unveiled its Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy 2026 and launched a state-level hackathon to promote responsible adoption of the technology, strengthen governance and create new economic opportunities.
The conclave concluded with the felicitation of winners of various student competitions and challenges.
