Chelsea have announced a multi-year partnership with financial technology company Sokin, which will become a Principal Partner and the club’s Official Business Payments and foreign exchange partner.
The sponsorship agreement covers both Chelsea’s men’s and women’s teams.
Sokin’s logo will also appear on the sleeves of the home, away and third shirts for the senior sides and academy teams.
The partnership brings together two London-based organisations with a global presence.
Chelsea have millions of supporters worldwide, while Sokin provides financial services to businesses operating across international markets.
The company’s platform handles more than $11 billion in business payments annually and serves organisations in over 170 countries.
Sokin will help Chelsea manage the financial demands of operating across different currencies.
The Blues work with international partners, compete in European and global competitions, and generate revenue from supporters and commercial activities around the world.
Sokin provides businesses with payment services, multi-currency accounts, foreign exchange, checkout solutions and treasury management through a single platform.
These services are designed to make international transactions easier while helping companies reduce the time and costs involved in managing payments through different banks and providers.
As Chelsea’s official payments and foreign exchange partner, Sokin will support the club in sending, receiving and managing money across the currencies it uses in its daily operations.
The company’s branding will appear on a Chelsea shirt for the first time when the men’s team host Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Chelsea president Jason Gannon welcomed the agreement, explaining that the club looks for partners who share its ambition and willingness to embrace new ideas.
“At Chelsea, we seek to partner with organisations that share our ambition and innovative mindset,” he said.
“Sokin’s expertise in business payments, and their focus on making both simpler for the businesses they serve, makes them a natural fit for the club.
“We are pleased to welcome Sokin to the Chelsea family and look forward to working together in the years ahead.”
