Iranian army orders ground forces to maintain highest combat readiness amid tensions with US

Iran’s Army Ground Forces commander Brig. Gen. Jahanshahi has ordered military unit commanders to maintain the highest level of combat readiness, warning that negligence during wartime could have serious consequences, Tasnim news agency reported Friday. “In wartime conditions, any negligence or carelessness can carry heavy costs,” Jahanshahi said, according to Tasnim. He stressed that maintaining effective operational readiness requires continuous training, accurate assessments of military capabilities, coordination among units and the rapid identification and correction of shortcomings.
