Industry veteran becomes the company's first non-promoter CEO as Saksoft looks to expand internationally following a record revenue year.
Digital engineering firm Saksoft has appointed Gurmeet Chahal as chief executive officer, marking the first time in the company's 25-year history that the role has been held by a non-promoter.
The appointment comes after Saksoft surpassed £79 million while maintaining an EBITDA margin of 18.6%, positioning the business for its next stage of growth. Founder Aditya Krishna will remain involved as chairman of the board.
Chahal brings more than 25 years of experience leading and scaling technology businesses across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. He most recently served as founding CEO of Digitide Solutions, overseeing its separation from Quess Corp and subsequent public listing in 2025.
In his new role, Chahal will focus on accelerating Saksoft's international expansion, strengthening its AI-led capabilities and pursuing strategic acquisitions across key markets, particularly in North America and Europe. The company also plans to deepen its presence in sectors including financial services, logistics, utilities, retail and technology.
Saksoft said its priorities under Chahal's leadership will include embedding AI across client services and delivery operations, expanding relationships with enterprise customers and growing its global footprint through both organic growth and targeted acquisitions.
Aditya Krishna, founder and chairman, of Saksoft said: "Saksoft was built on trust - the trust of our clients and the dedication of our people.
“Scaling that trust globally in an AI-driven era requires a proven growth architect. Gurmeet has built large-scale digital businesses at tier-one institutions, led a tech enterprise through a public listing, and fundamentally shares our values. I am thrilled to welcome him to lead Saksoft's next chapter."
Gurmeet Chahal, incoming chief executive officer at Saksoft added: "Many leaders build companies; Aditya has built an enduring institution anchored in deep domain mastery, unshakeable values, and extraordinary talent. I am grateful to Aditya and the Board for their trust, and to all Sakians who brought us to this £79 million milestone.
“AI is fundamentally rewriting enterprise technology. With our 'inch wide, mile deep' domain focus, Saksoft is uniquely primed to lead this shift. My mandate is simple: accelerate growth, pursue high-impact acquisitions, and win bigger globally, while fiercely protecting the culture that makes Saksoft special."
