KUALA LUMPUR: Bersama co-founder Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli has urged Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to disclose the extent of public funds exposed to the collapse in Zetrix AI Bhd's share price.
Rafizi described Zetrix, formerly MyEG Services Bhd, as a company of significant public interest, with activities that have major implications for national security.
He said the company's closing share price fell from 75.5 sen on April 1 to five sen on Oct 19, a decline of 93.4 per cent in six months. The sell-off began on Aug 28.
"No member of parliament or political party has yet focused on the implications of Zetrix's share price collapse," he said in a statement.
Based on publicly available financial reports, Rafizi said three public funds held shares in Zetrix. The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) held 67,674,000 shares and Urusharta Jamaah Sdn Bhd (UJSB) held 211,507,500 shares as at April 1, while Retirement Fund Inc (KWAP) held 390,090,000 shares as at Oct 2, 2025.
The funds' latest holdings are unknown and will not be reported until Zetrix's 2026 annual report is finalised, he said.
Assuming the funds still held the shares when the sell-off began, Rafizi said they faced potential losses of RM472 million, based on a decline of 70.5 sen per share.
Rafizi also raised concerns about the National Integrated Immigration System (NIISe), a RM1.05 billion contract awarded to HeiTech Padu Bhd in 2024. HeiTech Padu had named Zetrix as its technology partner.
He said that when HeiTech Padu won the contract in 2024, its two largest shareholders were Rosetta Partners Sdn Bhd, jointly controlled by the Sultan of Kelantan, Sultan Muhammad V, and Farhash Wafa Salvador, and Zetrix.
Rafizi said Zetrix sold its entire 16.9 per cent stake in HeiTech Padu on Sept 2 amid its financial crisis, raising questions about its role as a technology provider for NIISe.
He called on Anwar to disclose how many Zetrix shares government-linked investment companies and government-linked companies, including Maybank and CIMB, held on April 1.
He also asked the prime minister to disclose how many Zetrix shares the funds still held as at Oct 20, and how much they had lost on shares already sold and how much their remaining shares had fallen in value.
He also sought clarification on which company was now providing the technology for NIISe.
