The Director General of the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), Yawar Hussain, has honoured Rd. Rizwan Aftab Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer of ACTIVIT and Director of National Hospital, DHA Lahore, for his contributions to sporting activities and support for one of Pakistan’s top and distinguished athletes.
ISLAMABAD, Oct 24 (APP):The Director General of the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), Yawar Hussain, has honoured Rd. Rizwan Aftab Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer of ACTIVIT and Director of National Hospital, DHA Lahore, for his contributions to sporting activities and support for one of Pakistan’s top and distinguished athletes.
The DG PSB, during a recent meeting with the sports philanthropist and sports medical professional, commended his support for sports development in Pakistan through sponsorships, medical and nutritional assistance, and partnerships with sporting organisations, said a press release.
As part of these efforts, ACTIVIT recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Director of the Pakistan Sports Board Coaching Centre in Lahore. Yawar particularly acknowledged his sponsorship and support for the Independence Day celebrations at PSB Centre Lahore in August 2026. “The agreement focuses on sports development, athlete support, and potential joint initiatives aimed at strengthening sporting opportunities in Pakistan,” he added.
The meeting also addressed the importance of private-sector participation in supporting sporting events and athlete development. “Rd. Rizwan’s involvement spans several disciplines, including support for athletes representing national sports federations and competing at domestic and international levels,” said the DG PSB.
Rizwan has also expressed interest in sponsoring an international bodybuilding competition organised by the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation under the proposed title ACTIVIT Fitness Challenge. “The event is intended to promote strength training and fitness while providing athletes with an opportunity to compete at an international level.”
In recognition of his involvement in sporting initiatives, Rd. Rizwan Aftab Ahmed was presented with a commemorative shield and a blazer of excellence by the Director General of the Pakistan Sports Board and the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation. The recognition followed his support for sporting events and athlete-focused initiatives.
Beyond event sponsorships, Rizwan has been involved in providing medical, nutritional, and financial assistance to athletes across different sporting disciplines. Through ACTIVIT, these efforts have included supporting athletes during competition preparations and working with sporting organisations to improve access to essential resources.
His involvement also reflects a growing area of cooperation between private organisations and sports institutions, particularly in athlete healthcare, nutrition, and competition support. With further partnerships and sporting initiatives under discussion, the focus remains on providing practical support to athletes and expanding opportunities for participation in national and international competitions.
