The Baltimore Ravens could be approaching another difficult decision ahead of their next game.
With the AFC North race heating up, the team's preparations have taken an uncertain turn. Lamar Jackson remains the biggest question mark, and the latest development has raised fresh concerns about his availability.
According to ESPN's Jamison Hensley:
"Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is not present during media viewing portion of Friday’s practice, which indicates Tyler Huntley will likely start for the second straight week. Jackson missed every practice this week and hasn’t suited up since spraining his left ankle in a win over the Titans on Oct. 4.
"Huntley has won his last three starts as a fill-in starter for Jackson. In those three victories with Huntley, Baltimore has averaged 33.7 points."
The numbers offer Baltimore some encouragement. Huntley helped the Ravens secure a 30-23 overtime victory over the Atlanta Falcons last week, keeping the team competitive without its starting quarterback.

However, Jackson's absence would still be significant. His ability to extend plays, threaten defenses as a runner and create explosive passing opportunities makes him central to Baltimore's offensive identity.
The Ravens are scheduled to face Cleveland on Sunday, October 18. The Browns will look to take advantage if Jackson remains sidelined, particularly with the division standings at stake.
Head coach Jesse Minter previously described Jackson's status as day-to-day. He also praised the quarterback's efforts to return, saying Jackson was "working his butt off."
If Jackson cannot play, Huntley will likely get another opportunity. Baltimore has managed without its star, but his availability could determine how dangerous the Ravens are against Cleveland.
