The Lahore High Court has declared the move to take back MDCAT question papers from candidates illegal.
The court ordered that question papers of all exams be uploaded on the app immediately. The Lahore High Court’s Rawalpindi bench accepted the students’ petitions against the move.
Justice Ahsan Raza Kazmi of the Rawalpindi bench announced the decision, directing the PMDC administration to immediately release the question papers on the app.
Students Rehan Shahid and Anabia Tahir had filed the petitions, while Assistant Attorney General Malik Zaheer Arshad represented the federation.
Barrister Imran Afrasiyab said keeping the question papers is the constitutional and legal right of candidates. He said the PMDC’s move is unconstitutional, illegal and unethical.
Justice Ahsan Raza Kazmi said the decision should be implemented today, adding that the PMDC cannot give the question papers to candidates and then take them back.
