SUWON — The Gyeonggi Province Job Foundation will hold a combined jobs fair on the 28th at Jungang Park in Jeongwang-dong, Siheung, bringing together openings for job seekers of all ages.
The event, billed as the Gyeonggi Province 5070 Jobs Fair and Siheung City 2040 Jobs Fair, is designed to support first-time employment for young adults, mid-career moves for experienced workers and re-employment for older workers. About 50 leading companies in the Siheung area will conduct one-on-one on-site interviews with applicants.
Participating firms are concentrated in manufacturing and auto parts, including SL Mirrortech, Garrett Motion Korea, Apollo Industrial and Coslegeur. Positions on offer span auto parts inspection, mold design, sales, finance and accounting, quality control, product design and cosmetics production.
Hiring will also take place in food manufacturing, electronic components, machinery and metal processing, transportation, and nursing and care services. Samlip's Sihwa center is recruiting production workers, Siheung Transportation is hiring bus drivers, and the Siheung Senior Club is seeking parking management staff.
Employment-related agencies, including the Siheung City Comprehensive Job Center, will be on site to offer career counseling. Side events include AI profile photo sessions and personal color consultations.
"We hope this will be an opportunity for companies in the Siheung area, including those in the Sihwa National Industrial Complex, to meet talented people across generations and gain new momentum for growth," said Yoon Duk-ryong, chief executive of the Gyeonggi Province Job Foundation.
