If you weren't already convinced the Spurs and Thunder have a modern-day rivalry, the chippiness of their season-opener on Tuesday left little doubt.
Both sides got into a scuffle in the second quarter, with De'Aaron Fox throwing Chet Holmgren to the floor and Thunder teammates coming to Holmgren's defense.
The fight included Victor Wembanyama right at the center of the action, and Wembanyama was one of five players hit with a foul for their actions.
Here's a look at the skirmish involving Wembanyama.
Victor Wembanyama fight vs. Thunder
Tuesday's game erupted into a scuffle between both teams after Fox flung Holmgren to the floor, drawing a Flagrant 1 foul.
Wembanyama got into it with Jaylin Williams as the two shoved each other, and Wembanyama had to be separated from the scrum before cooler heads prevailed.

In addition to Fox's foul, four players received technical fouls: Wembanyama for the Spurs and Jaylin Williams, Jalen Williams and Kenrich Williams for the Thunder. No one was ejected, but the incident called back memories of Wembanyama's ejection for elbowing Naz Reid during the Spurs' playoff series against the Timberwolves in the spring.

For Wembanyama, the early technical foul means 15 more this season would result in an automatic one-game suspension. That doesn't mean much in October, but it could be meaningful in March or April.
