Oct. 22 (UPI) -- U.S. President Donald Trump blasted NBA star LeBron James for not standing still during the National Anthem before Philadelphia 76ers season opener against the New York Knicks in Manhattan.
"While listening to our National Anthem, LeBron James disrespects our Country," Trump wrote Thursday on social media.
"I said right from the beginning that he's no good, a TOTAL DISGRACE," Trump continued. "LeBron James should apologize to all of those Great American Warriors and Heroes who died for the American Flag."
Video appeared to show James, who plays for the 76ers, practicing a golf swing and basketball shots during the anthem at New York's Madison Square Garden.
James' teammates lined up next to him on the court appeared to be mostly still during the anthem.
James has not publicly commented on Trump's remarks.
Trump has attacked James in the past, including over the summer when he said the four-timer NBA champion "may be a racist" for past comments on social media.
Trump has a history of attacking athletes who do not stand for or participate in the national anthem.
James scored 14 points in the game against the Knicks, helping the 76ers win 106-100.
