Florida State is once again trying to get a head start on the 2029 recruiting cycle. Their latest offer has gone to tight end prospect Jerel Fletcher Jr. out of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
"EXTREMELY BLESSED TO RECEIVE AN OFFER FROM UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA STATE!!!!, Fletcher announced on social media.
The 6-foot-2, 270-pounder has several other offers as well. They include the Pittsburgh Panthers, Syracuse Orange, Coastal Carolina Chantileers, and the Rhode Island Rams.
In addition to playing tigh end, Fletcher also plays defensive end St. Thomas Aquinas. He's helped them get to 8-0 on the season as well as the No. 1 ranked team nationally per MaxPreps.
FSU landed four-star tight end Xavier Tiller in the 2026 cycle and have three-star Troy Silberzahn committed in 2028. They recently lost 2027 three-star Connor Winn after he decommitted.
The Seminoles need to get Fletcher on campus for a visit, which won't be hard given that he's an in-state prospect.
