It’s more Women’s FA Cup action this weekend for Leeds United Women, who host tier-below Rotherham United Women at the BD Community Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Following a goalless draw against AFC Fylde Women last time out in the FA WNL Division One North, the Whites will be looking to get back to winning ways after seeing their impressive run of 10 consecutive victories come to an end.
Ahead of Sunday’s First Round fixture, midfielder Ella Harris spoke to leedsunited.com to discuss the challenge ahead.
"I'm excited for Sunday's game, it'll be good to be back at home," she began.
"I love the FA Cup. It's one of my favourite competitions, and it's always nice to have a break from league action and see the full use of the squad.
"I think the goal is to get as far as possible, and hopefully we can come up against some big names."
Harris joined the Whites over the summer, having most recently featured for Cheadle Town Women. The 25-year-old was part of the side that lifted the FA Women’s National League Plate last season, scoring the winning penalty in the final.
Reflecting on last weekend’s draw with Fylde, Harris added: "Sunday was a really good test, and it's the first time we've come across a team that played the way Fylde played.
"I think we can learn a lot from that game, and hopefully go on another winning streak like before."
