Overview:
OnePlus Nord CE 5 stands out for its 7,100mAh battery and six years of security updates.
Nothing Phone (3a), iQOO Z10 5G, and Poco X7 Pro 5G suit different camera, battery, and gaming needs.
Software support, storage, battery health, and repair costs matter as much as performance for long-term use.
A good smartphone should offer more than a fast processor or a sharp camera. A phone under Rs. 25,000 should handle daily calls, photos, videos, apps, and games for several years without a major drop in performance. The OnePlus Nord CE 5, Nothing Phone (3a), iQOO Z10 5G, and Poco X7 Pro 5G stand out for different reasons. Other options from Samsung, Motorola, Redmi, Realme, and Vivo also deserve attention. Current prices may change with store offers and bank discounts.
1. OnePlus Nord CE 5 Offers a Strong Battery and Update Policy
OnePlus Nord CE 5 ranks among the strongest choices for long-term use. Its 7,100mAh battery and 80W fast charging support long days away from a power outlet. OnePlus promises four Android version upgrades and six years of security updates. The company also states that the battery should retain at least 80% of its capacity after four years of daily charging under its test conditions. Its official India price stands at Rs. 24,999, while some online listings show a lower price near Rs. 22,500. These features make it a strong all-round choice.
2. Nothing Phone (3a) Suits Camera Fans
Nothing Phone (3a) appeals to users who value camera options, a distinct design, and a clean software interface. Its camera system offers more flexibility than a basic setup with extra sensors that add little value. Nothing promises three Android version updates and six years of security patches for the series. Its reported price sits near Rs. 23,798. The shorter Android upgrade period may matter to buyers who plan to keep the phone for five years. Still, its design and camera features make it a strong alternative to the OnePlus Nord CE 5.
3. iQOO Z10 5G Puts Battery Life First
iQOO Z10 5G is a suitable option for users who prioritise long battery life for work, travel, and video streaming. It packs a 7,300mAh battery with 90W fast charging support, helping users stay connected for longer and recharge quickly. The phone is priced at around Rs. 24,999 and focuses more on battery capacity and charging speed than camera capabilities.
4. Poco X7 Pro 5G Favors Gaming
Poco X7 Pro 5G packs a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra processor and a 6,550mAh battery, making it a strong option for users who need smooth performance for gaming and demanding applications. Priced at around Rs. 23,999, it offers a competitive combination of performance and battery capacity. In terms of hardware and performance, the Poco X7 Pro 5G has an advantage over the OnePlus Nord CE 5.
5. Samsung Galaxy A26 5G Offers a Familiar Software Experience
Samsung Galaxy A26 5G deserves a place on the shortlist for users who prefer Samsung's One UI interface. Its familiar layout, useful security tools, and broad range of Galaxy accessories may suit daily work and personal use. The phone’s price near Rs. 20,998 places it below the budget limit. Samsung's service network can also help buyers who prefer an established repair system. The Galaxy A26 5G is worth a close look for daily use rather than high-end gaming.
6. Motorola Edge 60 Fusion Offers a Balanced Package
Motorola Edge 60 Fusion stands out for its camera and display capabilities, making it a suitable choice for users who enjoy photography, social media, video streaming, and everyday tasks. With a reported price of around Rs. 20,900, it offers an option for buyers looking for a well-rounded smartphone without prioritising gaming performance. The budget may also leave room for accessories such as a protective case and screen guard. Before purchasing, buyers should check the software update policy and the cost of common repairs.
7. Realme P3 Pro 5G Delivers Useful Everyday Performance
Realme P3 Pro 5G offers a strong mix of speed, battery capacity, and storage options. A reported price of about Rs. 20,995 makes it an option for buyers who want to spend less than Rs. 25,000. The model suits daily multitasking, video playback, social apps, and casual games. The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version has also appeared near Rs. 23,999 in price listings. That extra storage can help keep photos, apps, and files on the phone for years. Buyers should confirm the exact variant and its current software policy before placing an order.

9. Redmi Note 15 5G Offers a Practical Daily Option
Redmi Note 15 5G is priced at around Rs. 22,903 in India, offering an option for users seeking a smartphone for calls, photography, video streaming, and everyday apps. Before purchasing, buyers should verify the exact model, RAM and storage variants, battery specifications, software support, and service terms. Realme 14 Pro+ 5G is a practical option for photography enthusiasts, with a reported price of around Rs. 24,999. It is worth considering for users who want capable cameras for outdoor shots, indoor photography, and low-light conditions without spending on a premium flagship.
11. Motorola Moto G57 Power Targets Heavy Daily Use
Motorola Moto G57 Power is a suitable option for customers with an inclination towards practicality and battery life rather than aesthetics. The current market price is between Rs. 21,780 and Rs. 23,900 depending on the retailer. The device packs important features for basic applications such as texting, making phone calls, or navigation. A battery with a higher capacity minimizes the need for constant recharging, but affordable maintenance and lasting software updates are important for keeping the device cost-effective.
12. Poco M8 Power Offers a Large Screen and Battery
Poco M8 Power is another option for users who spend long hours on videos, social apps, and other media. Current listings place it near Rs. 22,999. Its reported specifications include an 8,000mAh battery, a 6.9-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 45W charging. These features suit users who value screen size and battery life. However, its camera performance and gaming ability may not match more performance-focused phones.
How to Choose the Right Phone for Several Years
The decision should be made based on software support, storage, battery health, and repair cost considerations. At that price point, 8GB of RAM with a 256GB storage capacity is a reasonable criterion to target; however, the right balance may differ between models and may vary depending on the current price. It is necessary to find out how much longer the device is going to receive updates for security reasons instead of simply relying on the date of the launch of the device.
