Plex just added 5 more free channels to its streaming lineup

Plex has quickly become one of my favorite streaming services. As someone who enjoys watching free films and TV shows, Plex offers plenty to keep me entertained without extra cost. Like Pluto TV and The Roku Channel, the service also delivers hundreds of live channels streaming a variety of titles that everyone can enjoy, and the list just got even bigger.

According to Cord Cutter News, Plex just added five new channels, continuing the platform's rapid expansion of free, live content. Plex has made a variety of additions throughout the year, surpassing 600 selections in the United States. The platform just added four new channels to its streaming lineup in early October. For those of you tired of paying a fortune for platforms like Netflix, Disney+, and HBO Max, Plex's new channels should appeal to you.

What's streaming on each new Plex channel?

Watch new sports, nature, and cinematic content

This October, Plex added channels that cater to fans of sports, nature shows, and independent cinema, adding range to its extensive lineup and ensuring everyone has something they can enjoy. Here is Plex's list of new channels, per Cord Cutter News:

• IFC Films Picks
• PBS Nature
• Man City 24/7
• Team USA TV
• Fight Network

IFC Films Picks features a list of "star-studded dramas, chilling thrillers, groundbreaking documentaries," and the "best independent films from IFC Films and IFC Midnight," according to Plex. Just in time for Halloween, the channel is streaming such notable horror titles as The Autopsy of Jane Doe, True Crime Story, and Cursed Films. Cinephiles tired of mainstream Hollywood blockbusters can watch distinctive, director-driven films without paying for a subscription.

Meanwhile, PBS Nature offers 24/7 access to wildlife and natural-history content. Audiences can stream documentary-style programs exploring animals in their natural habitats, providing an immersive and educational viewing experience. This adds to Plex's lineup of nature-centric channels, which include Love Nature and Stingray Naturescape.

Most of Plex's new channels include a wide variety of sports content. Man City 24/7 features round-the-clock coverage of the English Premier League club, providing match highlights, training footage, player interviews, and archival game footage. This is the latest addition to Plex's soccer-friendly sports channels, such as FIFA+ and Fubo Sports Channel.

Team USA TV features content centered on American athletes in programs involving the Olympics and Paralympics. This content includes behind-the-scenes footage, archival game footage, and athlete profiles. This expands Team USA TV coverage on streaming, as it was already available on ad-supported platforms like Pluto TV and the Roku Channel.

Likewise, Fight Network features content focused on mixed martial arts and boxing. Specifically, it broadcasts Fight New Recharged, which presents fight night highlights and deep looks into the league's biggest athletes. By pairing this channel with HBO Boxing and DAZN Ringside, Plex offers a strong collection of content for combat sports fans.
