Mandurah Police say four illegal e-rideables seized during a school holidays crackdown will be destroyed.
They include e-bikes taken from a trio of teenagers who were allegedly riding recklessly around Old Coast Road in Halls Head on October 7.
Police say the bikes had undergone modifications which make them illegal and the teenagers, aged 14, 15 and 16, were charged with reckless driving, no authority to drive and using an unlicensed vehicle on the road.
They are all set to appear before Mandurah Children’s Court on November 9.
On Monday Mandurah police said 25 people on e-rideables were stopped for traffic offences during the crackdown, which involved police on the ground and drones in the sky.

Separately, a group on e-bikes and scooters caused chaos in the Perth northern suburb of Stirling on Friday, weaving between cars, running red lights and even filming while riding — but one discovered they couldn’t outrun a police aircraft.
The group of at least six seen riding off-road through Stirling Civic Gardens near Cedric Street but also on the road, where they weaved in front of and between vehicles.
Police said they also travelled through red traffic lights and at one stage, officers in their police aircraft filmed one rider pull out their phone and start filming while riding.
A police aircraft tracked one of the riders though several suburbs towards Herdsman Lake, directing police on the ground to the rider’s location where they were arrested and changed via summons.
A WA Police spokesperson said there was a zero-tolerance approach towards people using e-rideables for serious offences.
