Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly are “growing closer” in private, a source close to Kelly told People, but they aren’t quite ready to define their relationship.
The two stars were first romantically linked last month, with a source telling Entertainment Tonight that they connected during Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s July 3 wedding. “Dakota was the one who made the first move,” the insider said at the time.
Now, People’s source has more details on how things have progressed. They’re “spending more time together,” the insider said. “They have been out on dates that people don’t know about because there aren’t any photos.”
The source described them as being in the “dating phase,” though they “aren’t ready to go official yet.”
“They both really like each other and have been seeing each other more frequently,” the source continued. “They haven’t put a label on their relationship yet, but they’re growing closer every time they hang out.”
Johnson and Kelly were photographed together in Los Angeles last week, with Johnson waiting outside a studio for Kelly.
The rumored couple hasn’t commented on their relationship yet. Johnson, however, spoke to Vogue last month about why she usually doesn’t address dating rumors. “I think it’s just futile,” she said. “People are gonna believe what they wanna believe, and I don’t have the energy to fight for that. I would much rather focus on other things in my life. Every day, there’s something on the internet that’s ridiculous and true or not true, and I don’t care.”
