With Screening Room, VF brings audiences closer to the films and filmmakers shaping the 2026 awards season. John Malkovich, director Alex Gibney, and a special screening of the documentary Naza have also been added to the lineup.

Vanity Fair is pleased to announce its second wave of programming for its Screening Room event series in Los Angeles and New York.
The inaugural edition of Vanity Fair’s Screening Room will be held at LACMA’s Peter Zumthor–designed Steve Tisch Theater from November 13–15. On Saturday, November 14, the weekend’s marquee screening will be Luca Guadagnino’s highly anticipated new film, Artificial. Guadagnino’s story follows OpenAI and the two-decade artificial intelligence arms race; as AI becomes more powerful, a battle wages in Silicon Valley over who gets to control this important technology. Director Guadagnino, Andrew Garfield, Yura Borisov, and Monica Barbaro will participate in a Q&A after the film.
Scene Selection Live will return with The Invite costars Olivia Wilde and Seth Rogen revisiting some of their pivotal work in film and television.
John Malkovich, the latest winner of the Volpi Cup for best actor at the Venice Film Festival, will join the Q&A for Wild Horse Nine. Penélope Cruz and Miguel Bernardeau will join Friday night’s La Bola Negra Q&A.
Just a few weeks later, Vanity Fair’s Screening Room will come to New York, where screenings and events will take place at the Cherry Lane Theatre from December 4–6. Alex Gibney, the director of Musk, will participate in a conversation with esteemed tech journalist Kara Swisher about covering the richest man on the planet.
Naza, the winner of the Special Jury Prize at this year’s Venice Film Festival, will screen in New York City with a special introduction.
