Earlier today, a leak claimed that the OnePlus 16R is being tested with a triple 50MP rear camera setup, and that a phone with the same hardware is also being tested under the Realme brand. Now, another tipster has chimed in with his own take on that Realme phone, and his details paint quite a different picture.
According to him, the Realme phone in question has a 200MP main camera and a 50MP telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom, and he specifically says it doesn't have a triple 50MP setup. Interestingly, there's no ultrawide camera at all. That lines up with what we've been hearing about the OnePlus Ace 7, which has been leaking with a 200MP main camera and a 3.5x periscope telephoto for a while now. The Realme device's camera island is said to look very similar to the one on the Realme 16 Pro+.

The phone will reportedly have a metal frame and a flat glass back, along with a built-in cooling fan and a circular RGB light, similar to the ring flash on some vivo phones. On the front, there's a 1.5K flat OLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 185Hz in some games, while the system UI runs at 165Hz. A Snapdragon 8-series chipset is in charge, and it can apparently run BGMI at 120fps and Call of Duty at 165fps. Finally, the battery has a typical capacity of 8,700 mAh.
The tipster does say this could be a Realme phone or the OnePlus 16R for India. And we wonder - why not both? Since Realme and OnePlus are both under the Oppo umbrella, it's not impossible for them to share hardware like this. Either way, with two conflicting camera setups floating around, we'll have to wait for more leaks to know which one is right.
