Woman journalist Richa Parashar, who accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of manhandling her during an Opposition protest in New Delhi has filed a criminal complaint against him and others, seeking the registration of a First Information Report (FIR), according to a report by The Times of India.
Parashar, who said she was three months pregnant at the time of the October 12 incident, submitted the complaint to the New Delhi district's Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).

The incident took place when Opposition leaders from the INDIA bloc marched towards the Supreme Court to protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the revision of electoral rolls.
Parashar has alleged that Gandhi pushed her while she was covering the protest. She has sought police action against him and others allegedly involved in the incident.
Parashar alleged that Gandhi grabbed her hand and pulled her forward before his security personnel pushed her away. She claimed she fell down the Supreme Court steps, landed on her stomach, injured her hand and knees, and broke her phone.
In a video recorded from her hospital bed, Parashar said, “I did not ask him any questions nor did I say anything to him. I fell down the stairs and my cameraman fell on me and top of him 4 people also fell.”
She also alleged that Gandhi's supporters shouted at her instead of helping her get up. She urged media organisations that had recorded the incident to release their footage.
