After being embarrassed by the New York Yankees in the AL Wild Card Series, the Boston Red Sox should aggressively try to add new talent this offseason.
The Red Sox's offense could use a serious boost, so one of their top goals should be to bring in another power hitter. Due to this, they are now being connected to one of baseball's top pending free agents.
In a recent article for Bleacher Report, Zachary D. Rymer predicted that the Red Sox will sign star outfielder Randy Arozarena in free agency this offseason.

...
"To this point in his career, Arozarena has been a steady 20-20 threat," Rymer wrote. "If the Red Sox spend $100-plus million to put him in Fenway Park, his potential in the home run column should inch closer to 30."
With the Red Sox needing another star in their lineup, it makes sense that they are being linked to Arozarena. The 31-year-old would be a significant addition for the Red Sox to make. This is because he would not only provide them with another impactful power hitter but also a good baserunner. Thus, he would help the Red Sox's offense in more ways than one.
If the Red Sox signed Arozarena, he could slot perfectly in the middle of their batting order. This would benefit a Red Sox team that is in desperate need of another game-changing hitter.
In 154 games this season with the Seattle Mariners, Arozarena posted 26 home runs, 26 stolen bases, 79 RBI, and a .281 batting average. With numbers like these, he would be an exciting player for Boston to add. It will be interesting to see if the Red Sox can win the sweepstakes for his services this offseason because of it.
