Police have launched a manhunt after a remand prisoner absconded during compassionate leave.
Patrick McDonagh, 37, failed to return to HMP Maghaberry on Thursday March 12 where he had been on remand awaiting trial for blackmail and money laundering-related offences.
A police spokesperson said despite extensive efforts to locate and arrest him, McDonagh has evaded police.
“We are appealing to anyone who has seen Patrick McDonagh, or who knows of his whereabouts, to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1147 12/03/26,” they said.
