The Indianapolis Colts are now 2-4 on the season following a second-half collapse against the previously winless Tennessee Titans.
With a 13-0 lead coming out of halftime, Jonathan Taylor fumbled on the Colts' opening possession of the third quarter. That then turned into a Titans field goal.
On the next Colts' possession, Daniel Jones threw an interception. That eventually resulted in three more points for Tennessee.
Then, on the Colts' third drive of the half, the offense could only muster five plays before punting. The Titans then scored a touchdown after a 58-yard punt return set them up at the Colts' 28-yard line.
Now, with the game tied, the Colts punted again after only eight plays, but this time, the kick was blocked and taken in for a score.
Although the Colts' offense finally responded with a touchdown, the defense then surrendered a field goal on the very next drive, giving the Titans the lead back.
This loss was very much a total team effort.
Jones again had turnover issues in this game. The first-half interception came in the red zone and took points off the board. Taylor's fumble hurt as well, and seemed to be when the tide began to shift.
The offensive line unit struggled to keep Jones clean, while the Colts' pass rush was barely able to get after Cam Ward.
The special teams unit was responsible for 7 Titans points and contributed to seven more points with the big punt return that they allowed.
The defense did hold up well for much of the game and was put in some difficult situations, but when stops were needed, they couldn't get one.
The Colts are in a rough spot right now, and things won't get any easier with matchups against the 5-0 Vikings and the 4-2 Jaguars in the coming weeks.
