Chris Kiptoo visits Kapkea family
Among those who moved quickly to offer condolences was National Treasury Principal Secretary Chris Kiptoo, who personally visited the Kapkea family at their home in Tembelio Ward, Moiben.
Writing on X on Saturday, October 24, Kiptoo said he had gone to "condole with the family of Hon. Evans Kapkea, Deputy Governor of Uasin Gishu County Government, following the passing of his dear brother."
"My heartfelt condolences to Stanley's wife, Lydia, their children, the entire family, relatives, and friends during this difficult time," Kiptoo added.
A memorial banner at the family home carried a verse from the Bible that appeared to capture the spirit in which Stanley's loved ones are choosing to remember him: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." (2 Timothy 4:7).
