The concert, held for the second consecutive year in Kumasi, attracted fans from different parts of the country who came to experience Sarkodie’s music and support one of Ghana’s biggest music events. Reports indicated that more than 80,000 fans attended the show, which continued into the early hours of Sunday morning.
Several Ghanaian artistes, including Dope Nation, AlorG, Cojo Rae, LMB Gang, Mr Drew, Oseikrom Sikani, Lasmid, Arathejay, Sista Afia, and many others, took turns on stage, giving fans a variety of performances and adding to the excitement of the night.
One of the most touching moments came when Sarkodie honoured the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba. The rapper dedicated part of his performance to the late musician and played some of his songs, reminding fans of Lumba’s lasting contribution to Ghanaian music.
Sarkodie’s entrance also stood out as he blended Ghanaian tradition with hip-hop, featuring a projection of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, alongside traditional music.
As the show came to an end around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sarkodie knelt to thank Kumasi and his fans for their support and massive turnout.
