NBA legend Magic Johnson had a message for the LA Dodgers’ fans after they were swept in the NL Championship Series by the Milwaukee Brewers.
With the series at 3-0, the Dodgers needed to do something that only the 2004 Boston Red Sox team had achieved, and overcome a three-game deficit, but they fell short and endured a 4-6 loss.
The Dodgers were vying to be the only team since the New York Yankees to three-peat but this season they just did not have enough to overcome the odds.
After the painful loss, co-owner Magic Johnson sent a heartfelt message to the fans to express his gratitude for their support.

With the series sweep over the Dodgers, the Brewers ended a four-decade drought without a World Series appearance. It was also sweet revenge, as the Brewers had been swept in the playoffs by the Dodgers last season.
“I want to congratulate the Milwaukee Brewers’ great owner Mark Attanasio, the players, the entire coaching staff, and all the Brewer fans on advancing to the World Series,” Johnson wrote on X.
The Dodgers had a solid regular season, finishing with a 100-62 record. However, there were question marks about their ability against the top teams, as they went 18-18 against NL Playoff teams.
Although the team fell short of their expectations, Johnson had a message for the Dodgers fans who supported the team throughout the season.
“I also want to thank our @Dodgers players for an outstanding season and all of the Dodgers fans for coming out to support! Although we weren’t able to three-peat, we have a great team that gave us back-to-back World Series Championships,” Johnson wrote on X.
The Dodgers have a few roster problems to solve in free agency. They have the oldest roster in MLB, with an average age of 30.9, and 9 of their players are free agents this offseason. A revamp is expected in the offseason to build a better team and get the Dodgers back into World Series contention.
