Florida State's offense was facing a tough Miami Hurricanes defense coming into Saturday night's showdown between the two rivals. However, the Seminoles were able to put up nearly 450 yards and scored 35 points.
It wasn't enough as they lost a tight game in double overtime, which ended in some controversy surrounding the final two plays. Nonetheless, the showing by the FSU's offense, which lost running back Ousmane Kromah to a season-ending ankle/foot injury, is something they can build on in their final five games.
Several players for Florida State helped their offense have one of their better games of the season. Here's their top three performers against Miami.
Duce Robinson
Robinson was spectacular versus Miami. After falling behind 28-21, he scored on a 75-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter that tied it up on the next play, and he also scored the first touchdown in overtime. This was his second 100-yard game of the year and his first with multiple scores. Robinson will look to keep this type of play up for the rest of the season, which has seen him gain 52 yards or fewer five times.
Ashton Daniels
He struggled with his accuracy against Miami, but Daniels threw for 298 yards and four touchdowns, which should have been five, but Micahi Danzy's score in double overtime was reversed due to a controversial holding penalty. Also, he gained 31 yards and put up a touchdown on the ground. This was one of his better games of 2026.
Quintrevion Wisner
Wisner had a terrible fumble in the fourth quarter that led to a touchdown for Miami. With that said, he did have 63 rushing yards on nine carries, plus he registered 56 receiving yards on four receptions and scored a touchdown. This was his second game in the last three weeks with over 100 all-purpose yards. He'll be needed more with Kromah and potentially Samuel Singleton Jr. out for the season.
