Sonali Life Insurance PLC and Nagad signed a strategic partnership agreement to expand digital insurance services in Bangladesh.
The agreement was signed at the head office of Sonali Life Insurance in Dhaka recently.
Sonali Life additional managing director and acting chief executive officer Md Rafiqul Islam and Nagad chief commercial officer Mohummed Shahin Sarwar Bhuiyan signed the agreement, a press release stated.
Nagad CCO said, ‘This partnership will expand customers’ access to life insurance services through digital platforms.
We hope this initiative will make it easier for customers to purchase insurance products and further expand access to digital financial services in the country.’
Sonali Life director Fauzia Kamrun Tania said, ‘By bringing together Sonali Life’s experience in insurance services and Nagad’s extensive digital network, we aim to make life insurance more accessible and relevant to people’s everyday lives.’
Under the agreement, two digital insurance products of Sonali Life ‘the Quick Savings Insurance Plan and the Monthly Savings Plan’ will be available to customers through Nagad’s digital platform.
