Stallion Group has challenged the judgment delivered by the Federal High Court, Lagos, on October 16, 2026.
The matter is in a commercial dispute involving the United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc and other parties.
But dissatisfied with the lower court’s verdicts, the Group disclosed that it had filed a Notice of Appeal at the Court of Appeal.
In the appeal, it is seeking a review of the judgment in Suit No. FHC/L/CS/2074/2023: UBA Plc & Ors v. Stallion Nigeria Ltd & Ors.
This new development was contained in a statement issued on Friday by AbdulSalam Gaffar Olatokunbo on behalf of Stallion Group.
The group said it disagreed with the decision and, after reviewing the judgment with its legal advisers, it identified grounds it believes warrant appellate review.
The Group also said it had filed an application for a stay of execution of the judgment pending the hearing and determination of its appeal.
The commercial dispute, which was initiated by UBA Plc in 2023, culminated in the judgment delivered by the Federal High Court on October 16, 2026.
Stallion Group said it was determined to pursue its legal rights through the appropriate judicial channels, adding that it would vigorously prosecute the appeal.
The company expressed confidence in the appellate process and the ability of the Court of Appeal to consider the issues raised in its challenge to the judgment.
While reassuring its stakeholders, the Group added that its business operations remained ongoing despite the legal proceedings.
It therefore urged employees, customers, business partners, and other stakeholders to rely on verified information and avoid speculation or sensational reports concerning the dispute, saying it is now before the appellate court.
