A parkgoer at Six Flags over Georgia died on Monday after braving the state's tallest rollercoaster, prompting officials to evacuate the theme park.
The man died after falling off the Goliath rollercoaster and hitting against the ride several times, witnesses told 11 Alive.
Parkgoer Cody Alcorn said the falling man was then captured on their souvenir picture from the day.
'He fell and hit the car three different times,' Alcorn claimed.
People on the rollercoaster were then seen being evacuated four at a time as workers tried to get the riders out of the cars and onto an adjacent stairway.
They had been stuck on an incline in the middle of the ride when it was shut down, according to footage shared on social media.
'We are deeply saddened by the guest incident at our park today,' a Six Flags spokesperson told Entertainment Weekly. 'Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with the guest's family, friends and loved ones.'
'We are also providing support to the guests and team members affected,' the spokesperson noted.

He added that 'the park team and local authorities responded immediately, and we are cooperating fully with local authorities as they complete their investigation.
'Out of respect for the family's privacy, we will not be sharing additional details at this time.'
It remains unclear what may have caused the tragedy.
The Goliath, which was manufactured by Bolliger and Mobillard, opened at the park in 2006. It reaches speeds of 70mph with an elevation of 200 feet.
