The 2026 Shinhan Sol Mate-Seoul Economic Daily Park Golf Masters National Championship will be held for two days from the 29th of this month at Yangpyeong Park Golf Course in Yangpyeong County, Gyeonggi Province.
Seoul Economic Daily became the first national daily newspaper in Korea to launch a nationwide park golf tournament in 2024, taking the lead in popularizing the sport and broadening its base. The newspaper has held the event every year since, widening opportunities for more people to enjoy healthy leisure activities and to connect across generations and regions. Now in its third edition, this year's tournament reflects the newspaper's sustained efforts.
Co-hosted with Shinhan Financial Group for a second consecutive year, the tournament will be held as individual competitions for men and women. Each of the men's and women's winners will receive 5 million won in prize money plus an award worth 3 million won, with total prizes and awards worth 36 million won. The event is expected to serve as a festival where park golf enthusiasts from across the country test the skills they have honed and mingle with one another.
Set against the scenery of the Namhan River, the tournament will also feature companies in the park golf industry. Players and industry officials will gather both on and around the course, adding to the excitement of the event.
