Of those enrolled, 8,008 are subject to compulsory military service. They were born in 2007 and have been called up for military service, while 799 enrolled following their own application. Approximately 16 percent of those enrolled are women.
According to the authority, engagement is high: of the 111,674 young people born in 2008 who received draft documents, 97.5 percent responded. Almost 30,000 of them will be called up for assessments, which will take place from May 2026 to April 2027. What is new for this group is that after the assessment, they can be registered for both military and civilian service.
The figures also show that 92 percent of young people who began their training in 2025 completed it. The dropout rate was 8 percent, mainly due to permanently impaired physical or mental abilities.
