Susan Lovie, wife of the late Alleycats vocalist Datuk Loganathan Arumugam, has died at the age of 69
The news was confirmed by her daughter, singer-songwriter Dasha Logan.
In a heartfelt statement released early on 13 October, Dasha revealed that her mother had succumbed to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) at Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL).
Lovie died at 8.47am on Monday, 12 October.

She had battled the illness for more than 15 years, showing remarkable resilience even after the disease cost her both her sight and mobility
"Mum fought hard, powered through and survived. Even though she lost her eyesight and the ability to walk, she was always in good spirits," Dasha said.
The family nearly lost Lovie to the condition 11 years ago, but she continued to fight on.
Her final hospital stay began on 2 October, when she was rushed to HKL by ambulance at 1.30am.

Despite her deteriorating health, she showed positive signs during her final days. Dasha said her mother spent much of that time happily chatting with her and her eldest brother, Vigneshwaran.
Known as her children's biggest fan and critic, Lovie remained deeply invested in their artistic pursuits. Her final public appearance was early last year at VOX KL in KLCC, where she attended Dasha's Legasi EP launch.
"Mum was a big fan of her children and she always supported us in our careers."
Lovie's passing marks the bittersweet end of a love story that was interrupted in 2007, when Loganathan died of cancer at 53. He and his brother, Datuk David Arumugam, founded The Alleycats in 1969.

The multiracial pop and rock band gave Malaysians timeless hits like Hingga Akhir Nanti and Seribu Bintang
"The heartwarming thing in such a moment of grief is that our parents are finally united. Mum missed Dad every single day since he left us then," Dasha said.
A funeral Mass is scheduled to take place at 10am today, following a wake at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Setapak.
Following the service, Lovie's remains will be taken to Cheras Crematorium for cremation.
