Uzbekistan has established deadlines and fees for reviewing draft archival and administrative documents, with reviews taking up to 30 working days and fees ranging from UZS 440,000 ($37) to UZS 4.4mn ($370), according to the Ministry of Justice.
Government Resolution No. 559, dated October 10, 2026, approved the administrative regulations governing the service.
State agencies and legal entities can access the service through the Unified Interactive Public Services Portal and public service centers. Reviews will be conducted by the O'zarxiv Agency, the National Archives of Uzbekistan and regional archival authorities, including those in Karakalpakstan and Tashkent.
Applications submitted through the portal do not require an electronic digital signature to confirm the application form. Applicants using the online service will pay 90% of the standard fee.
Fees are nonrefundable if applicants withdraw their requests. However, if a service is denied, applicants can correct the identified deficiencies and reapply within 30 working days of receiving notification without paying an additional fee.
Review deadlines and fees depend on the type of document:
Sectoral document retention lists: 30 working days, with a fee of UZS 4.4mn ($370). Only state agencies, republican executive authorities and economic associations may submit these documents.
Instructions on work organization and execution control: 15 working days, costing UZS 880,000 ($74).
Document collection nomenclatures: 15 working days, costing UZS 2.2mn ($185).
Regulations on central expert commissions and expert commissions in departmental archives, archival work and records management: 10 working days, costing UZS 440,000 ($37).
Archival lists of document collections and acts authorizing the destruction of documents: 15 working days, costing UZS 880,000 ($74).
If a draft document is revised after review and approval, the updated version must undergo the examination process again.
Draft archival and administrative documents prepared by state archives are exempt from examination.
Earlier, Uzbekistan approved a procedure for identifying the country's best-performing tax-paying neighborhoods.
