Four people have been killed and three others injured in a collision between two vehicles on the Imam Sahib–Kunduz City highway.
Jumauddin Khaksar, the Taliban police spokesperson in Kunduz, said on Friday, October 16, that the accident involved two vehicles, a 4Runner and a Corolla.
The Taliban attributed the accident to drivers’ negligence.
Traffic accidents remain one of the causes of fatalities in Afghanistan.
Two days earlier, five people were killed and 15 others injured when a passenger bus collided with a cargo truck in Daman district of Kandahar.
Driver negligence, excessive speed, poor road conditions, and a lack of traffic signs are among the factors contributing to such accidents.
