Per a recent report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Jacksonville Jaguars starting left tackle Anton Harrison will miss the remainder of the 2026 NFL season with a torn ACL. The torn ACL was reportedly revealed during his Thursday surgery.

Harrison was carted off the field at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the third quarter of the improbable, 19-17 Week 5 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. He was subsequently placed on IR, with the hope of it just being a three to five week recovery.
Contingency Plan In Motion
While many in the Jacksonville fanbase have been quick to label reserve offensive lineman, Walker Little as an offseason (and in-season) trade piece, the reported news of Harrison's loss shows exactly why Little has major value on this roster: as a stand-in at both tackle and guard spots. After stepping into the left tackle role for the final quarter against Philadelphia, giving up zero quarterback pressures, Little surrendered just two pressures in Week 6 to the Houston Texans dominant defensive front. The team will need that continued level of play as they continue their playoff push moving forward.
Jaguars Schedule Through November:
Week 8: Indianapolis Colts (at home)
Week 9: Baltimore Ravens (road)
Week 10: Tennessee Titans (road)
Week 11: New York Giants (road)
Week 12: Tennessee Titans (at home)
With this upcoming slate after the bye week, Jacksonville may be able to weather the early storm, while allowing Walker Little additional time to acclimate next to Emmanuel Pregnon.
Impact on Scheme?
Before this injury, Harrison had missed just three games in his first three NFL seasons since being drafted 27th overall out of Oklahoma in 2023. The Jaguars recently picked up his fifth-year option in April, with the accompanying flip from right tackle to left. And while Jacksonville may be one of the better positioned teams to take on the loss of their left tackle, it clearly is a significant loss that will change how they run their offense.
For instance, Harrison, in 2025 and 2026 has routinely been left on an island, which allows the Jaguars to play with more receiving options in the field on passing plays. With Walker little sliding in at left tackle, the Jaguars will, presumably, be more prone to providing chips and double teams to both Little and a rebounding Cole Van Lanen at right tackle. This could result in fans seeing more offensive sub-packages, with the team likely leaning into more two tight end sets, 13 personnel, and jumbo packages to slow down the rush. Only time will tell, however.
