Rapper Yang Hong Won and his wife, former model Won Hyun Joo, have reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram, less than a week after their wedding and amid allegations that the rapper cheated on her with another woman.
The social media shakeup comes after Yang Hong Won’s agency admitted he had visited a motel with another woman before his wedding, while firmly denying that anything inappropriate had occurred. According to Korean media reports, the newlyweds were no longer following each other on Instagram as of October 24, shortly after the allegations surfaced. Making matters more conspicuous, Won Hyun Joo also removed all posts from her Instagram account, leaving her profile completely empty. Her profile picture disappeared as well. Neither Yang Hong Won nor Won Hyun Joo has publicly explained the changes on social media, and it remains unclear whether they are directly related to the controversy.
The developments are particularly striking considering that the couple held their wedding ceremony on October 18, after welcoming their daughter in 2024. Just five days after the ceremony, however, an individual claiming to be acquainted with Yang Hong Won publicly accused him of visiting a motel with another woman approximately three to four weeks before the wedding. The accuser also shared alleged phone recordings and messages sent to Won Hyun Joo, fueling allegations of infidelity.

On October 23, Yang Hong Won’s agency, AP Alchemy, released an official statement admitting that the rapper had accompanied another woman to a motel but denying that an affair took place.
According to the agency, Yang Hong Won was heavily intoxicated after a drinking gathering and went to the motel to find somewhere to sleep. The woman allegedly accompanied him because she had nowhere else to go. The agency maintained that the rapper fell asleep immediately and that no intimate behavior occurred between them. It also accused the person behind the allegations of deliberately manipulating evidence and attempting to extort money from the rapper and the woman. AP Alchemy stated that both had filed criminal complaints against the accuser.
The woman who accompanied Yang Hong Won to the motel also spoke out on October 24, denying any inappropriate conduct. She claimed that the rapper slept on the bed while she slept on the floor and similarly accused the original exposer of demanding money. Amid the escalating controversy, Yang Hong Won made another unexpected headline when he took the stage at the SKA Festival at Seoul’s KBS Arena on October 24.
