Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stressed that every talented child deserves quality education, regardless of their family’s financial status. Addressing the inauguration of a Danish School in Islamabad on Sunday, he said poverty should never prevent children from achieving their ambitions. The initiative aims to support deserving students and narrow the education gap between wealthy and underprivileged families.

Shehbaz congratulated students, parents and teachers, describing their success stories as inspiring. He highlighted a girl from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who lost her father during childhood but overcame financial difficulties to become a doctor. He said her journey showed that talent exists across all social classes when children receive proper opportunities.
The prime minister noted that millions of Pakistani families struggle to afford basic necessities despite working hard to earn a living. For these households, education often becomes difficult to manage alongside other essential expenses. He described it as inequality when talented children lose opportunities because their parents cannot afford quality schooling.

Shehbaz said the Danish Schools initiative was designed to address this disparity by providing education to deserving children. Recalling its launch in Punjab in 2010, he said the programme aimed to help students from remote areas and disadvantaged communities succeed through merit and hard work.
Reflecting on Pakistan’s creation in 1947, the prime minister said the country was founded on hopes of justice, merit and equal opportunity. He called for an assessment of national progress towards these ideals, stressing that a child’s future should not depend on family wealth. Students, parents, teachers, federal ministers, diplomats and senior officials attended the ceremony.
