Puma and K-pop star Rosé are back together again — this time to introduce the German athletic brand’s latest Speedcat lineup.
For its latest launch, the German athletic brand is updating its racing-inspired silhouette with crocodile-textured detailing in a model called the Speedcat Croc. Rendered in “Black,” “Deep Brown,” and “Off-White” colorways, each iteration plays with the contrast between the tactile finish of suede and the reflective surface of the glossy overlays. Tonal Puma branding and matching laces complete the look.
Worn by Puma collaborator Rosé, the Speedcat Croc “reflects the global artist’s ability to bring her own perspective to the iconic style,” the company noted. In its newest campaign, the Blackpink singer is seen in a softly lit, retro interior, which serves as the backdrop for the accompanying visuals.
The Puma Speedcat Croc will be available Oct. 15 at Puma.com, Puma flagship stores, and selected Puma retail partners.
This is the latest project from Rosé and Puma, which first got together in 2024 when the brand signed the K-pop sensation as a brand ambassador.
Indeed, this launch comes just days after Puma and Rosé released two fresh takes on the Speedcat sneaker. The Oct. 8 release featured nappy nubuck leather uppers, signature wrapped laces, custom branding appearing on the tongue, and were available in earthy brown and deep burgundy colorways.
In July, Puma featured Rosé in a campaign to launch the Speedcat Etoile collection. Described as a “delicate spin on the low-profile silhouette that’s been taking over street style,” the company said the line features satin-inspired finishes, soft suede overlays, and ribbon laces designed to tie into bows.
On year prior in July 2025, the duo was back together again for summer-ready colorway of the Puma Speedcat. This iteration of the low-profile sneaker, which was first created for race car drivers and then released as a lifestyle shoe in 1999, featured a bright orange Formstrip against an ultra-light blue upper.
Rosé was also there to support Puma, alongside fellow pop star Dua Lipa, when they first served as the faces of the Speedcat in 2024, the year the style was rereleased. Dubbed the “hottest sneaker in the world” by Lyst in October 2024, the relaunch of the Speedcat was celebrated at an event in Milan in December that same year.
And in August 2025, Rosé unveiled her first full collection with Puma. The capsule centered around the Speedcat Ballet silhouette, which featured pointe-inspired laces, and the Speedcat OG Premium, which came with statement lacing details enveloping the upper.
The debut collection also had apparel like an oversized track jacket and relaxed track pants as well as a half-zip jacket, a full-zip hoodie and a mesh top. Accessories included the extra-small duffle and Micro Grip bag.
