Milwaukee Brewerspart-owner and former Bucks starGiannis Antetokounmpo was asked about the baseball team reaching the World Series for the first time since 1982, and the two-time NBA MVP called the achievement, "incredible."
"I'm so happy for the team," Antetokounmpo told a group of Miami reporters in advance of the Heat's season opener. "It's been a lot of years in the works. Mr. Mark Attanasio and his family and his partners, really invested in that city and that team. They've done a great job developing players.
"I wish them nothing but the best. And I love what the coach [Pat Murphy] said. '[The Los Angeles Dodgers] might have had a lot of Hall of Famers, but we had a lot of gamers.' That's a quote that will last forever."

Antetokounmpo became the 17th member of the Brewers ownership group in May 2021, though the agreement was not announced until August of that year. In June he helped he Bucks win an NBA title for the first time in 50 years. The Brewers, to date, have yet to win a World Series.
"We want to win a championship here," Antetokounmpo said in 2021. "It’s going to take time and patience but we have a great ownership group, we have great players and we’re going to accomplish it with a lot of hard work."
