In the four games Monangai has played this year, he has had two with at least 100 rushing yards, including Week 4 against the New York Jets, when he rushed for 146yards and two touchdowns. When Monangai was healthy, the Bears were averaging 196.25 rushing yards per game. However, in the two games without him, they have only averaged 89.5 rushing yards per game.
Along with Monangai, the Bears ruled out linebacker Jack Sanborn with a concussion. Starting linebacker T.J. Edwards is doubtful with a hamstring injury. If he can't play against the Patriots, it will be the second game he's missed. Edwards also missed three games last season due to a hamstring injury. Cornerback Tyrique Stevenson is also listed as questionable with a hip injury, despite practicing in full all week.
