Windsor High School delivered one of the most dominant seasons in Colorado softball history in 2026.
The Wizards finished off a historic 29-0 season Oct. 24 with a 6-2 win over No. 2 Holy Family for the Class 4A state championship.
After two straight runner-up finishes, Windsor absolutely smothered opponents from the first pitch to the final out all year long.
How good was Windsor? Here are 10 stats and numbers that show how overwhelming the 2026 Wizards were en route to a rare perfect season.
.544: On-base percentage. The Wizards got on base over half the time they stepped up to the plate. That's unstoppable.
321: Total scoring margin. The Wizards outscored teams by over 11 runs per game, a Colorado record in the MaxPreps era (since 2006).
0.79: Team ERA (Earned Run Average). Windsor allowed less than one run per game, surrendering just 26 total runs (16 earned) all season.
21: Mercy-rule games. That's right, Windsor only played eight full seven-inning games all season.
19: Errors made. The Wizards simply did not beat themselves on defense this season.
17: Shutouts. Can't lose a game if you don't allow a run. Windsor blanked its opponent nearly 60 percent of the time.
16: Years since Colorado's last perfect 4A or 5A team. Legacy (2010) was the last unbeaten and untied team in high-level state softball.
14: Wins against Colorado top-10 teams. Nearly half of Windsor's victories came against top-10 state seeds across all three classifications, including 5A No. 1 Cherokee Trail and five of 11 state semifinalists.
9: Number of players that batter over .400. Functionally, every Windsor starter hit the mark that usually indicates elite high-school hitters.
Zero: Number of Windsor losses. A perfect season. The Wizards were absolutely untouchable.
