Taking place on Nov. 7 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the deCoste Culture Hub in Pictou, the event brings together artists, art lovers, and community supporters for an exciting night of creativity, connection, and celebration of the incredible artistic talent found throughout Pictou County.
The evening will feature a live art auction, with proceeds raised on stage split 50/50 between Creative Pictou County and the participating artist. This approach celebrates and supports local artists while helping Creative Pictou County continue its work of fostering arts, culture, and creative opportunities throughout the region.
Guests can also take part in a silent auction which will highlight local businesses and support the creative community. Adding a little friendly competition to the festivities, the event will feature an art battle, where teams made up of Creative Pictou County members will go head-to-head in a showcase of imagination, collaboration, and artistic flair.
“The POP! Art Auction and Gala aims to become a premier event in our community,” said Carissa Ainslie, executive director of Creative Pictou County.
“The funds raised will support local artists and the work we do to create opportunities that grow Pictou County’s creative economy. It’s also a great opportunity to find a unique holiday gift, dress up, and enjoy a fun evening celebrating the artists in our community.”
