Asante Kotoko have been fined GH¢5,000 by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee for failing to release match highlights within 48 hours of their Ghana Premier League fixture against Debibi United on Matchday One.
The sanction was confirmed in the GFA's latest regulatory update for the 2026/27 season, which outlines the club's failure to comply with the league's requirements for publishing match footage.
Under the regulations, clubs are required to make a video of their match highlights, lasting between three and five minutes, available within 48 hours of a fixture.
Kotoko failed to meet that deadline following their opening-day encounter with Debibi United, prompting disciplinary action from the association's committee.
The Kumasi-based club has been given 14 days from the notification of the decision to settle the GH¢5,000 fine.
The committee has also cautioned the Porcupine Warriors against further breaches, warning that any future misconduct could result in more severe sanctions.
The decision highlights the GFA's enforcement of its media-related obligations for clubs competing in the Ghana Premier League, including the requirement to make match highlights available within the prescribed timeframe.
For Asante Kotoko, the immediate requirement is to pay the fine within the period specified by the disciplinary committee. The warning also places the club under notice to comply with the league's regulations going forward.
The case centres on the failure to publish the required highlights after the Matchday One meeting with Debibi United. The rules stipulate that clubs must provide a video package of between three and five minutes within two days of their matches.
The GFA's latest regulatory update records the offence and confirms the financial penalty imposed on the club.
Kotoko now have 14 days from receiving notification of the decision to make payment, while any repeat offence could expose them to tougher disciplinary measures.
The sanction comes as the GFA continues to apply its regulations during the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season, with clubs expected to fulfil their obligations within the timelines set by the governing body.
