Riyadh – Saudi authorities announced the interception and destruction of a ballistic missile and a drone launched by the Houthis toward Riyadh. Earlier, the Saudi Civil Defense reported that debris from the interception of two ballistic missiles launched by the Houthis toward Mecca and Medina fell on various areas of the Kingdom.
The Saudi Civil Defense spokesman stated that the interception resulted in parts of the two missiles falling in Wadi al-Maghmas, east of Mecca, and debris in the al-Nuzha neighborhood of Jeddah, Wadi Jalil in Taif, and the Masturah area of Rabigh.
Reuters quoted the Houthis as saying they had carried out seven military operations using ballistic missiles and drones, targeting airports, oil facilities, and an airbase in Saudi Arabia.
The Houthis said their attacks targeted airports in Riyadh, Dammam, and Najran, Khamis Mushait Airbase, Aramco facilities in Yanbu, the Rabigh oil refinery, and the East-West crude oil pipeline.
On the other hand, Yemeni sources said that the Houthi group launched two missiles at Lahj Governorate in southern Yemen.
The sources added that one missile targeted a government forces camp in the Al-Wahatt area, while the other landed in an area near a residential neighborhood.
For its part, the Yemeni government announced that the Houthis targeted two coast guard headquarters in the city of Aden with three ballistic missiles.
The Yemeni Interior Ministry said that two missiles targeted the coast guard headquarters within the ministry's headquarters, while a third missile targeted the coast guard building in the Al-Tawahi district of Aden.
