BUSAN — Eco parks along the Nakdong River in Busan have turned gold and pink with seasonal flowers.
The Busan Metropolitan City Nakdong River Management Headquarters said on the 20th that it has created themed flower beds using seasonal blooms at the Hwamyeong, Daejeo and Samnak eco parks. Each park highlights its own character, offering an autumn atmosphere that blends with the Nakdong River landscape.
At the lotus wetland in Hwamyeong Eco Park, a 34,000-square-meter field of yellow cosmos has been planted, spreading a golden carpet of flowers alongside the river. Near the aquatic plant garden, an 8,800-square-meter plot of burning bush has been arranged, paired with photo zones featuring a windmill and swing as well as signboards bearing lyrical phrases.
Daejeo Eco Park features a 10,000-square-meter field of pink muhly grass, creating a pink-hued landscape. At Samnak Eco Park, 4,060 plants of eight flowering species, including chrysanthemums, have been planted across a 114,000-square-meter family-themed flower bed.
"We hope visitors will make beautiful autumn memories at the Nakdong River eco parks filled with seasonal flowers," the head of the Nakdong River Management Headquarters, Cho Kyung-si, said. "Parking lots may be congested on weekends, so please use public transportation whenever possible."
