Manchester United are reportedly monitoring Newcastle United winger Bazoumana Toure as they look to add more attacking reinforcements ahead of future transfer windows.
According to a report via CaughtOffside, the Red Devils remain interested in the Ivory Coast international, who has attracted attention from several Premier League rivals since arriving at St James’ Park.
Bazoumana Toure could improve Man United
The 20-year-old joined Newcastle from Hoffenheim in July for approximately £43 million, having enjoyed an impressive breakthrough campaign in German football.
Toure registered five goals and 12 assists in 30 Bundesliga appearances last season, demonstrating the pace, creativity and attacking instincts that made him such an attractive prospect for leading European clubs.
Manchester United are looking to strengthen their attacking options with young players who can make a difference in the final third. Toure’s ability to beat defenders, create chances and operate in wide areas could make him an appealing option for the club’s recruitment team.
The winger has already made an encouraging impression in England, scoring against Leeds United in the Premier League and finding the net against West Bromwich Albion in the EFL Cup.
United are understood to have monitored his development before Newcastle secured his signature, and their interest has continued despite his recent move to the north-east.
Arsenal are also tracking the youngster, while Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa have shown interest in his progress.
Newcastle determined to retain Toure
However, Manchester United could struggle to negotiate a deal for the highly rated winger. Newcastle invested heavily in his potential and see him as a key part of their long-term plans.
Toure is under contract until 2031, leaving the Magpies in a strong position to resist approaches from interested clubs.
Newcastle have little reason to sell a player they signed only recently, especially when he is still adapting to English football and has plenty of room to develop.
United will therefore likely continue monitoring his performances before making a formal approach.
If Toure continues to impress in the Premier League, his value could increase further, making a future transfer increasingly difficult to complete.
